Jumping Axe Kick
This page provides details on how to perform a Jumping Axe Kick (or Jump Axe Kick). This is a more advanced version of the traditional axe kick. The dramatic jumping axe kick is useful for breaking and demonstrations. However, it is not very effective for self-defense and sparring situations.

Axe Kick Variations
- Rear Leg Axe Kick – This is the traditional axe kick used by most martial arts styles.
- Front Leg Axe Kick – This kick uses your front leg (versus the rear leg with a traditional axe kick).
