Standing Oblique Crunches – Martial Arts Core Strength Exercise
This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Standing Oblique Crunches. This crunch is a martial arts exercise used in order to build up core strength (esp. in the oblique muscles). This exercise will also improve rotational “torquing” power and thus help martial arts kicking power, punching power and grappling techniques.
This core exercise can be done with or without weights. Martial artists can also perform oblique crunches while lying on the floor.
