Yongmudo – A Korean Martial Arts Style

Yongmudo (Yongmoodo) is a Korean martial arts style that combines techniques from martial arts such as Taekwondo, Judo and Ssireum. Students of this martial arts learn grappling, throws, kicks, strikes and joint locks. Translated from Korean, the term Yongmudo (Yongmoodo) means roughly the “Dragon Martial Way”.

Yongmudo was developed in the 1950s at Yong-In University in South Korea. This martial arts formally became a discipline at Yong-In University in 1998. In addition, the World Yongmudo Federation was founded in 1999.
