Instructions for Wado-Ryu Kihon 2
After bowing, the attacker takes one step forward and the defender takes one step backward, each assuming Migi Zenkutsu-dachi position (Right basic stance).
- Attacker (Torre)
- Migi Zenkutsu-dachi (Right basic stance)
- Lunge forward with Migi Tsukkomi Jodan (Right high punch)
- Migi Surikomi Sokuto Chudan (Right step-up side kick) and land in Migi Zenkutsu-dachi (Right basic stance)
- Defender (Uke)
- Migi Zenkutsu-dachi (Right basic stance)
- Move body obliquely backward and twist body to left to avoid punch while doing right Nagashi Soto-uke (middle block) to avoid punch
- Move to the left again twisting away and block the kick with glancing black using your right arm
- Move into your opponent, striking with shotei uke (palm heel strike) and haito (ridge hand strike) to the rib area
