Bridge Exercise – Instructions & Videos
This page provides details on how to perform the Bridge exercise. This bodyweight exercise focuses on core strength, lower back, glutes and legs. For a more intense variation of this exercise, martial artists also use the Single Leg Bridge exercise.

Instructions for the Bridge Exercise
- Lying on your back with knees bent at 90 degrees.
- Your arms should be down along your sides. For more stability, you can place your arms out at a 45 degree angle to your body.
- Raise your hips off of the ground until your back and thighs form a straight line.
- Hold for one minute.
- Slowly lower yourself to the ground.
