Indian Exercise Clubs – Conditioning Exercise

Indian exercise clubs are used for martial arts strength and conditioning. Indian exercise clubs are best for upper body workouts, especially forearm, bicep and shoulder workouts. This training tool is often used in a swinging motion.

Modern kettlebell workouts utilize a very similar training approach. Moreover, in Karate, there is a some-what similar traditional training tool called the Nigiri Game (or Gripping Jar).

All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained martial arts instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized. For more conditioning exercises, please visit the main Martial Arts Conditioning page.
