Leg Drops – Martial Arts Core Strength Exercise
This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Leg Drops. This martial arts exercise used in order to build up core strength. Leg drops are also used to improve rotational “torquing” power and thus help martial arts kicking power, punching power and grappling techniques.
For an easier version of this exercise, martial artists use knee drops (where they lift bent legs versus straight legs).
