Leg Lifts – Martial Arts Strength Exercise
This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Leg Lifts. This martial arts exercise used in order to build up core strength. This exercise will also improve rotational “torquing” power and thus help martial arts kicking power, punching power and grappling techniques. Leg lifts are also known as Leg Raises.
With leg lifts, a martial artist will lie on the floor and raise their feet together. They will keep their legs straight until their heels are roughly 6 inches off the ground.
