One Legged Squat Reach – Balance & Strength Exercise
All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized. For additional balance exercises, please visit the main Martial Arts Balance Exercises section.
- Stand on one leg with knee slightly bent.
- Raise other leg modestly off the ground.
- With the hand opposite the standing leg, reach down to the opposite side of body and touch the ground.
- Repeat this balance exercise by standing on the other leg.
