Prone Superman – Martial Arts Strength Training
This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Prone Superman. This martial arts exercise is used in order to build up core strength.
In addition, this core exercise can improve rotational power or “torquing” power and thus enhance martial arts kicking power, punching power and grappling techniques. For a more advanced version of this exercise with a greater core workout, some martial artists perform a Superman Plank.
