Side Plank – Martial Arts Strength Exercise
This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Side Planks. This is an isometric exercise used to build up core strength and add variety to martial arts conditioning routine. It is a more advanced version of the traditional plank exercise. For more advanced planks (i.e. Superman Plank), please visit the main Plank Exercises section.
All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized.
