Side Plank Dips – Martial Arts Strength Exercise
This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Side Plank Dips. This plank exercise will improve core strength because it works on oblique muscles. Side plank dips are also known as side bridge dips.
A strong core will help with punching power, kicking power and grappling techniques by improving a person’s rotational and twisting power. Strong core muscles can also help a martial artist to better absorb hits (i.e. a punch to the stomach).
