Sit-Ups – Martial Arts Strength Training
This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Sit-Ups. This is a martial arts exercise used to build up core strength. This can improve rotational power (“torquing” power) and thus enhance martial arts kicking and punching strength.
However, many experts recommend that a person perform a stationary plank instead of a sit-up if that person has any lower back problems.
