To-Shin Do – Modernized Ninjutsu

To-Shin Do is a martial arts style that was developed as a modernized version of Ninjutsu. Students of To-Shin Do learn kicks, strikes, grappling, modern self-defense techniques (i.e. self-defense against opponents armed with a gun), traditional weapons (i.e. Bo) and mediation techniques. To-Shin Do is offered in a variety of martial arts schools and via an online training system.

This martial arts was founded by Stephen K. Hayes in 1997. Stephen K. Hayes is a Black Belt Hall of Fame instructor. According to the Stephen K. Hayes Ninja Self Defense website, Stephen K. Hayes adapted traditional Ninjutsu techniques and training in order “to better fit the modern world. This he calls To-Shin Do, the way of the heart and the sword.”
