Wing Chun Technique – Man Sau (or Asking Hand)

This section examines the Wing Chun technique known as Man Sau (Man Sao) or Mun Sau. It is also known as Asking Hand, Inquisitive Hand, etc.

This technique allows Wing Chun students to deflect an overhand strike by an opponent. This Wing Chun technique is often combined with an elbow strike to the head or back once the opponent’s arm has been deflected by the Man Sau.
