Kagemusha – Samurai Movie

Kagemusha is a highly-rated 1980 samurai film directed by Akira Kurosawa. It focuses on a thief who must impersonate a dying feudal lord in order to prevent rival clans from attacking. Be aware that samurai movies may not be appropriate for younger children given the bloody swordplay in many of these movies.

Kagemusha was directed by Akira Kurosawa. Kurosawa was the director for many highly-rated samurai films such as Seven Samurai, Hidden Fortress and Yojimbo. The movie review website, Rotten Tomatoes, gives Kagemusha a very positive rating (87 out of 100).
