Samurai 2: Duel at Ichijoji Temple is the second movie of a movie trilogy focused on Musashi Miyamoto, Japan’s most famous swordsman. Part 2 of this three part movie series highlights a number of duels by Musashi Miyamoto. It also explores Musashi Miyamoto’s search to enhance his training & knowledge in order to become a complete samurai.
The legendary Toshiro Mifune plays Musashi Miyamoto in this samurai movie series. Toshiro Mifune starred in many highly-rated samurai films such as Seven Samurai and Yojimbo.
