Samurai 3: Duel at Ganryu Island is the third movie of a movie trilogy focused on Musashi Miyamoto, Japan’s most famous swordsman. Part 3 of this three part movie series centers on the duel between Musashi Miyamoto and the highly skilled Sasaki Kojiro. In the final battle, Musashi Miyamoto fights with a shaved down wooden oar.
The legendary Toshiro Mifune plays Musashi Miyamoto in this samurai movie series. Toshiro Mifune starred in many highly-rated samurai films such as Seven Samurai and Yojimbo.
